Spokane Art School’s Tradition Lives On
Saturday and Sunday, June 16 and 17, 2012 - 10:00am to 5:00pm
Spokane Art Supply, 1303 North Monroe St. Spokane
Tuition: $100. + $30 model fee
Adults 16+ years Tobe Harvey

Supply List Available

Spend the weekend completely absorbed in an intensive investigation of seeing and drawing. This marathon involves working
with models in an energetic atmosphere of exploration. This workshop gives you an opportunity to work with two different
instructors for six hours a day over a two day period. Helpful to students and teachers of all levels, figure drawing is the
ultimate challenge for an artist.

Two nude models will be provided for the two days. Each instructor brings his/her own perspective to the figure drawing
process and works in a different way, setting up problems and contexts for working with a model. These instructors are
particularly passionate about drawing, both work distinctly, and both are experienced with the teaching and drawing of the
figure.

elements.”

Spokane Art School Upcoming Events

Spokane Art School is working hard to reestablish its place in the Spokane and regional art community. Although there have been setbacks some programs continue with the help of generous donors, and the MAC Foundation. We are pleased to say that our work with outreach programs such as Crosswalk and the Martin Luther King, Jr. after school program were reinstated last year.  Of course, Yuletide was back thanks to scores of volunteers and the turnout was great.  Many of you expressed a real delight in seeing the return of this annual tradition.  Plans are in the works for some new partnerships.

Here is a look at what we have in store for 2012

·         The Volunteers of America Crosswalk Program continues…

·        A partnership with Center Pointe to begin ceramics classes in the summer of 2012

·        Partnership with Holy Names Music Center to begin after school classes at Havermale School incorporating music and art for the fall of 2012.

·        Drawing Marathon, a two day drawing workshop in partnership with Spokane Art Supply in June 2012.
